I have had pain in my right side for 7 months. In the last few weeks it spread to my left side. The pain is in the same spots on both sides. one is a few inches below my belly button but on the side, the other is maybe 5 inches higher, by my ribs. I have no GI symptoms ( no diarrhea/ constipation) But my DR suspects IBS. She said my pain spots are where my colon curves. Does anyone have this!? It hurts very much if i have even the slightest pressure on those spots or when i sit because it smashes them. I have had ultrasound, cat scan, blood work, and x rays. all are normal
IBS can cause a combination of symptoms, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, bloating and discomfort. The most common or primary symptom is usually abdominal pain. IBS is diagnosed when a person has abdominal pain or discomfort at least three times per month for the last 3 months without other disease or injury that could explain the pain. As you tests have been normal, its likely that the pain could be due to IBS. You can maintain a food diary to see what is triggering your symptoms and avoiding them may help resolve your symptoms,
