Farting with oil

Today I farted with pure oil. No feces just pure yellow-orange oil. When I felt I will fart again I went straight to the restroom and it continued to excrete pure oil. I can say it is pure oil because of the way it looks. It doesn't mix with the water from the restroom bowl. The way it looks is similar when you put drops of oil in a jar, the drops of oil stays separated on top. It doesn't smell bad like normal feces. It almost doesn't have any smell at all. It smells minutely fishy.

I searched in the internet before posting here and most similar cases where saying they ate raw fish, sushi or similar food. Funny thing is about two days ago I did eat raw fish but only small amounts together with 5 bottles of beer. This is the first time this happened to me and I am not sure if it's really due to the raw fish I ate.

Does anybody experienced this before and know what it is, should I go to the doctor? Thanks.

@randuser I must add that I do not feel any other symptoms, no vommiting, no nausea and my stomach feels normal. The feeling is like a normal fart, only it contains a lot of oil.

Welcome to the IBS community!  I would say that if this happens frequently or if you develop other GI symptoms, I would recommend going to your dcotor about this, but I don't think this is necessary with just this one time occurance.

Update: It was a one time occurrence, it lasted about 2-3 days. I think it's really the fish that caused it.

Good, I'm glad it didn't return.

I've experienced that and didn't eat anything as you described.   Mine is actually like mucus and more solid than oily.  I don't know what causes it and didn't go to the doctor.  I haven't had it for a long time but remember when I would have it, I was very gassy.
