I take lithium, have an enlarged but functioning thyroid, and suffer from back pain, cramping & the runs after meals. My doctor ordered a HIDA test - my gallbladder apppeared for the first time on the very last frame of the 1-hour long test.
They extended the test for an additional 30 minutes, before giving me something to flush the gallbladder - all my after eating symptoms returned with a vengance.
What is the significane of it appearing so late into the test? No one would answer my questions & my doctor is currently out of the country.
This doesn't sound like IBS to me. I would recommend posting your question in the gastroenterology community to hopefully receive an answer to your question: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Gastroenterology/show/68.
