How to achieve regular bowel movements

by timrt, May 24, 2008 07:10AM

Hi,I have IBS,and I was wondering what I can do to achieve daily bowel movements.Sometimes I may not go for days, then on others days I can go many times.
I find with regular movements,my IBS is ok.

I also know that Imodium (immodium) leaves me constipated when taking to stop diarrhea, what else can I take?.

So what can I take(drugs),what shouldn't I eat,and what foods help?.

Cheers

You can make sure that you eat food that won't give you diarrhea...but to have a regualr BM, i take Metamucil with breakfast and supper, i have been constipated for a long time, occasionally i have to take Imodium (immodium) because I get diarrhea. I always manage to have a BM the next day anyways. Well let me know how everything turned out.
