I'm 20 years old, in pretty good health, exercise almost everyday. I was recently diagnosed with IBS due to loose stools, constipation and diarrhea. Lately, all of my bowel movements have been very narrow, and just small blobs of narrow stools. My doctor said he does not think I have anything serious like colon cancer due to my age and health, but i am getting a bit worried about the narrow stools since they have been happening for a while. So should I tell him? or is it probably just a symptom of IBS?
Narrow stools are relatively common for people with IBS/constipation. Have you had any testing done? I would recommend mentioned this to your GI doctor but I don't think it is something to worry about and I don't think you have colon cancer.
