IBS flare and what to do?

I am a 38 yo female, with anxiety and depression disorders. I occasionally have flares of IBS. This flare has been especially hard. It has been going on for 5-6 days, I feel like my insides are on fire. I feel like I always have to pass gas. Sometimes it takes awhile, the cramping is awful. This flare started with s regimen of antibiotics due to strep throat. For the past four days I've been taking probiotics. The pain seems to slowly be going away. I've been having bowel movements, the consistency is different each time, though. And sometimes, it's only a clear mucous that comes out. This morning it made me nauseous, not enough to vomit, but enough to throw me into a panic that something is really wrong (I'm sure it's my anxiety kicking in). I'm super stressed about a couple events coming this weekend. I've strained so much my butt cheeks hurt like I've strained a muscle. Any advice?

First and foremost you need to see a gastroenterologist for any tests to eliminate other causes than IBS. I am a 50 year sufferer of IBS, I had all the tests, tried everything they recommended, and nothing helped.  At 50 years old I started taking Pearls High Potency Probiotics and eating one container of Activia reduced calorie vanilla yogurt a day (they recommend 2  day)  By the second month my symptoms, for the first time in my life, happed half as often.  HALF AS OFTEN.  That was huge !  By the 4th month I was symptom free. Yes, completely symptom free !!!!    I have been symptom free for 2 years now.  I have suffered from birth, (unable to drink milk or formula,) suffered for 50 years, I now tell everyone I can, you've tried everything else, just try these 2 products together and see if you notice a difference.  I'm shaking my head that I suffered my whole life and all it took to eliminate my symptoms was Pearls High Potency Probiotics and Activia Yogurt.   Give it time to work, like I said it was the second month before I started to notice a change, and I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.
