IS IT IBS ????????

Every morning I wake up with pains in my stomach either right under both sides of my ribs or right in the center with a burning pain in my back. My GI doctor had me get a Abdominal CT with constrast. It came back fine. Then he gave me a endoscopy and said that I had Barrett's esopahgus, Hiatal hernia, but everything else looked fine. I told him that I still had the burning pains mostly in my sides and back. He just said, you'll be fine and gave me nexium, that was three years ago. I told someone about it and they said, it sounds like IBS. I have mostly normal bowel movements, but sometimes they look like they have mucos in them. I read somewhere that Peppermint oil was good for IBS. My GI doctor had me on Bentyl 10mg, but he stopped it. It worked for awhile and then it made me constipated. Could these burning pains be caused by IBS. I never had these burning pains before. Any help would be appreciated.
