Night-time diarrhoea

I have been suffering for nearly a week with leakage of diarrhoea during the night. During the day I don't need to go to the toilet (or rarely). The diarrhoea is liquid - no substance at all. My doctor has taken samples to be sent away but I am going mad with this nightly occurrence.... it is very embarrassing and frightening. I have no control over it. I am packing myself with underwear and toilet paper in an attempt to save the bedding but for 3 nights following now it has happened... before that it was less than a week since it happened and seems to be getting more frequent. Does anybody have experience of this?
