Recurrent bloating, constipation, and irregularities

Hello

I am a 20 years old male suffering from recurrent abnormal bowel since May 2010. It started when I first had diarrhea and abdominal pain with urgency of defecation. I took metronidazole tablets 20 tablet, nothing changed. Then I took mebevrine HCl with antidepressant tablets (10 tablets) and nifuroxazide (broad spectrum antibiotic, 20 tablets) then I first experienced mild constipation with stool colour change to yellow brown. When I traveled to Canada and I visited the doctor and he prescribed a bottle of polyethylene glycol 3350 on a daily basis because he thought I had severe constipation which I took for a month (3 teaspoons everyday). Then I experienced anal fissure and irregularities. I took probiotics and Activia probiotic and felt better at the time for 10 days. Symptoms have decreased by the year passed.
Last 3 months, the symptoms reoccurred when I was stressed for exams. Then I visited the doctor and I got x-rayed and diagnosed with constipation. I had stool tests and resulted negative. I was also x-rayed positive with weak upper gastric sphincter by Barium swallow. Now after meal, I experience bloating and sometimes I have defecation attacks once or twice a day usually after waking up. Most times after defecation, I feel uncomfortable. So now am I with IBS? or what am I having. I have irregularities but what is it? Usually most of the times bloating and constipation occurs when after I masturbate and ejaculate. I also did the Candida spit test at home and resulted positive. Could Candida do this to me? Please help me out.

Summary of symptoms: recurrent wind and bloating, recurrent flatulence (sometimes burns the rectum), recurrent constipation (usually after masturbation), feeling pushing under the liver usually after meals, but not always. Stool shape changes, upper abdominal pain (sometimes).

Thanks for your help, looking for a good anwer to all my questions

I am not sure about garlic, but I think that eating Activia yogurt everyday might be helpful.

They say garlic and other natural remedies can kill any bacteria or fungus or any harmful pathogen in the intestines plus a probiotic such as Activia yogurt can help heal irregularities in the GIT. Do you recommend this for me if I take a large amount of garlic and Activia yogurt on a daily basis for a month or so? Thanks in advance for your answers patient915.

I'm not sure why you have back pain.  I could be that due to the constipation you are tensing your back muscles causing mild strain.

Why do I always feel back pain? It is strange that one day it switches to bloating and constipation and one day to back pain? That does not always occur but it's usual.

Yes you can test for candida overgrowth using a fungal blood culture.  However, you don't need this.  If you had candida overgrowth (meaning candida in your blood) you would be so incredibly sick that you wouldn't be able to type messages to me and you would be in the ICU.  I think you need to see a gastroenterologist about this and probably get a colonoscopy and endoscopy.

I have had stool analysis test, I don't seem to have mouth thrush. I have done H. pylori Antibody blood test. I have taken a lot of probiotics last year and the symptoms have changed. It's strange. Usually on sitting after meals, sitting with a pressure on stomach, I feel bloating under the liver. I have tried to masturbate less and the symptoms decrease. But is there a test that doctors can do to prove if candida is overgrown? Please let me know. Thanks

Candida overgrowth in the ways that the alternative medicine community describe it is a myth.  Candida overgrowth will rarely rarely occur in very sick people (I mean in the ICU sick people) but you may have thrush from all the antibiotics you took.  You do not have candida overgrowth.  Do you have bumps in your mouth or tongue or if you tougue coated?  If you do have thrush, it is not causing all of your other problems.  What are all of the tests that you have had?  Have you tried not masturbating for a couple days and see if that helps?

Thank you guys for your comments but do you mean that Candida overgrowth can be a myth. Please let me know what to do to prove its a candida overgrowth. The problem I am facing now is bloating after meals usually after masturbating in hours. Please let me know, thanks.

TinaKini, I am going to be replying to all your comments made on these posts that are years old in case one of the original posters reads this.  I am against posting the same thing on many different threads, but in this case, it is needed.  For a long long time now, alternative medicine has talked about candida overgrowth and the many dangers of this and how this has become an epidemic.  This is all one huge myth.  Candida overgrowth (often called thrush) is a relatively benign problem.  It is best treated with anti-fungals which are very different from antibiotics.  Taking antibiotics can make you susceptible to getting candida overgrowth, but then anti-fungals are the correct treatment.  Doctors are very aware of thrush and other types of candida overgrowth and they know how to successfully treat it, but (luckily) very very few of them believe in this crazyness that the alternative medicine field has caused.

It CANNOT cause obesity, ADHD, ADD, diabeties, sinus problems, blindness, high blood pressure, dementia, fibromyalgia, asthma, leaky gut (but don't get me started on that), chronic fatigue, brain fog, or headaches.  It IS NOT affected by processed sugary foods (although I do agree that these are bad for you in other ways).  (The exception to this is that if you have pre-existing diabeties and you are eating lots of processed sugary foods and not controlling your diabeties, then that can make you more susceptible to candida overgrowth.  Also in rare cases when a patient is in the ICU they can have candida spread throughout their entire body.)

I agree, do your research, use the internet, but don't listen to the people making crazy claims on the internet.

Bingo!! It is Candida Overgrowth...I have had strange symptoms for years...slowly came on. As stresses got worse, fatigue, eye problem, headaches...it can overgrow or focus on any part of the body. Hopefully yours have stayed in your colon (mine moved into sinus/head, it is AWFUL). Doctors just ignore this, they treat symptoms then it gets worse, you are young (I am 44, 7 years to give up on docs and figure out myself), so start researching!!!
So many problems posted on this entire site are all Candida Overgrowth...our society cannot handle the processed foods, so much sugar and stress everyone have. Some just are genetically more prone to have Candida get out of control...My mom and brother have it too!!
Do not know how you figured Candida the cause...be follow that path.
