It could be a lot of things! If your colonoscopy comes back normal and he says you have IBS (which a lot of doctors do) get a hydrogen breath test. Its said that about 70% of IBS sufferers test positive on this. Which most likely means a bacterial overgrowth in your intestine could be causing the symptoms. I am currently taking 1 week of rifaximin, and flagyl for 10 days for this.
I've heard that CT scans on the appendix can come back normal somtimes. So if it gets really bad and excruciating and the pain suddenly goes away that could mean your appendix ruptured. I would go to the ER if that happens!
