Squeezing spasms?

by chrisr2382, Sep 17, 2008 07:21AM
I am 23 y/o female and I have a history of acute pancreatitis..I have an attack maybe every 5 months but I always seem to have pain, now my doctor thinks I may have IBS as well. I go to see the IBS specialist on the 9th of October they have nothing sooner. Before seeing the specialist my doctor told me to start taking miralax. I had no problems with bowel movements except for pain. Well now I have bouts of diariah, consitpation, and crippling spasms.. The spasms get so bad that it hurts to walk. The spasms go away but I'm left with a pain. All of the pain is in the lower left abdomen. When I get the spasms it travels up a little and goes down into my hip/thigh on the left side. Could this be IBS or something more serious? Mind you I have never had these symptoms before this medicine but I did have pain.. Not this severe.
