WEIGHT GAIN AMD IBS??

Hi over the past two years I have seemed to put on a stone in weight. I have always been small and thin and I never gained weight no matter what I ate so this is very stressful for me as I am not eating more or less what I've always done. My stomach looks like I'm 7 months pregnant and no exercise or diet elimination seems to help. I've put weight on everywhere and it's very depressing as I've always been thin. It seems to have happened quite abruptly as well. I have IIBS and I try to follow the FOD map as closely as possible and although this does  help a bit it doesn't seem to help with the weight gain. Can someone help me??

Ria, these thyroid tests I suggested could be done by most labs and ordered by your Doctor. If they don't have a heath code (depending your insurance coverage) you may have to pay -but really worth it, for the reason that you are hypothyroid, this could be very serious, if left untreated.

I suggest you also look up Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature Test.
Simply follow the easy instructions carefully, if you decide to do it.

Treatment is by Natural Desiccated Thyroid or synthetic versions, to regulate your thyroid function. I favor the NDT which is associated with less problems.
Many doctors will not agree with me, but I can support this with evidence and facts. I have studied the work of Dr. Barnes, who was to my opinion the top Doctor in this field, both in research and treatment.

Your doctor can order a complete nutritional panel to rule out deficiencies.

Another suggestion I have for you is to download for free Dr. Coca's
Pulse Test for allergies & sensitivity to anything ingested.
It takes a week to complete and you're required to track everything that goes into your body and take your pulse numerous- but specific times throughout the week.

I hope this helps and please keep me posted.

Hi niko,
Thanks so much for your response. I haven't had my thyroid checked In some time. Do I just ask my doctor for these types thyroid tests? What can they show up? And if there is a problem is there anything that can help? Could that be a reason for the weight gain? How do I get a nutritional panel is it done through blood tests? Sorry for all the questions I just really wana get these done and thanks again for your help :-)

Hi Ria.

Have you had your thyroid function evaluated?
I suggest you forgo the standard thyroid tests and ask for free T3,
free T4 and reverse T3
You may also do on your own Dr. Barnes Basal temperature Test.
Just look it up online.
With IBS, it is easy to become deficient in certain important nutrients, some of which may be vital for thyroid function (and many other functions) and you may have reached a tipping point of sorts.
Low iron, low selenium, low vitamin D3 , low magnesium? A complete
nutritional panel should be done as well, to my opinion, to rule out deficiencies.

Hope this helps.
