What can I do about my lazy bowel problem?

Hi
I am 63 years old and all my life I have problems with my bowels and now it's getting worse. I can't have a bowel movement naturally. The doctor has prescribed me medicine and it doesn't work. Now the over the counter medicince doesn't work. My stomach bloats like I am 6 months pregnant. I've had a colonnozipy and everything turned out find. The doctors dont know what is wrong. I eat plenty of fiber and veggies, stool softner and drink plenty of water. And nothing happens. I can go 2 weeks without going to the bathroom. I know this is not good. So I am looking for someone that has the same problem as me to give me some advise.

I'm also sporting the 6mos preggy look and I'm 59.  Some people have even asked me about my pregnancy, I usually say it's going well.
These days I'm taking Cascara Sagrada.   This is an herb, I buy via the web at
Puritan Pride.   At first they worked overnight but now they're not doing anything til I've taken them for a week or so.  Then I go and go all damn day.   Use to be that I'd have 5 to 7 and be done.  Oh well.
Fortunately a fabulous thrift store is close by so I can get clothes to fit my today body.
Nothing seems to work and so I'm thinking that it's got to be neurological.

Ask your doctor about solitary rectal ulcer syndrome. It is very rare but some of the symptoms are bloating and constipation.
