blood

by pjck0330, Nov 09, 2007 02:59AM
Does anyone know what would cause bleeding after a bowel movement? My 5 yr old has bleeding after bowel movements. It is not every time (it has happened 3 times in two weeks). The blood is not in her stool, but comes after the bowel movement. When it occurs it is about 1-2 tsp that comes out. After that she will have blood the next couple bowel movements, but none after that. She has nothing showing up in her blood tests everything is normal.

hi ,

pjck0330

It can be a case of acute fissure or could have a underlying pathology in the lower bowel .

Please consult a paediatrician to evaluate the bleeding from the bowel.
