ibs and flat stool?

im 41, male. in good health had noticed flat stool for about 6 mos est. went for a colonoscopy, they said i have diverticulosus and some internal hemmiroids. i had no other symtoms like pain or bleeding, just flat stool and still have no reason for the stool shape. im wondering if i have a slight cause of ibs and would this cause the spasems in my sigmoid colon to produce this? eric

I have similar stool formation and a lot of discomfort defecating as well. Perhaps the discomfort is due to small hemoroids??? I do have IBS though I haven't been able to find out if the stool shape is in any way connected to IBS. There may be two different issues here. I also might have Pelvic Floor Dyssynergia, which apparently alters the muscle control in the rectal area. That is often a symptom of IBS... Best to see a gastro for the answers.
