Example: I was recently pouring a glass of chocolate milk for one of my daycare kids and nearly overflowed the glass. Without even THINKING I quickly leaned down and took a sip off the top to prevent the river of milk from hitting the counter...10 minutes later I was laying on the bathroom floor in a ball crying my eyes out in pain. I get the same reaction from icecream, sourcream (anything with the word CREAM) and from certain cheeses.
Not fun...
It certainly sounds like you are lactose intolerant, which millions of people are and which you can easily read up on online. I have a suggestion for an inexpensive way to test whether you are lactose intolerant: Avoid ALL dairy (milk based) food for 4-6 days then have one glass of milk. Hint: Stay close to the bathroom! If you have any kind of reaction which you did NOT experience during the days you were 100% off dairy products you will know your problem!
If you do eventually stay away from milk based food as part of your lifestyle at some point try either a small amount of yogurt or frozen yogurt "icecream" as yogurt based dairy food presents far fewer problems for us lactose intolerant folks. I'm thoroughly lactose intolerant yet I can have a half scoop of frozen yogurt (when my friends are diving into their icecream cones) and I have no problems! Check out Ben & Jerry's frozen yogurt. Very few lactose intolerant people are aware they can consume moderate amounts of yogurt, which is a great source of calcium and digestive enzymes for our gut...
Good luck!
