unusual weight loss

why is my 16 year old nirce losing 10 lbs per week and has only an appetite for gatorade?  She is 6'2" an weighs 130 pounds.

If she is only drinking Gatorade, that would explain the weight loss. The question is why is she only drinking Gatorade. Anorexia comes to mind, but I would definitely be getting her to a doctor.

She is drinking gatorade for the electorlytes.  She is definitely not anorexic.  She had always had a good appetite until a few weeks ago.  She has already been to a doctor and spent Saturday on IVs to feed her.  So far tests haven't shown anything wrong.  Next tests are on Tuesday.

Thanks for your response!  Last Thursday,m Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh found the answer.  She has grown to become lactose intolerant.  She is doing much better now that her diet has been changed.
