VBAC or C-Section

For those of you who are on 2nd or more babies and have had a C-section, have you had a VBAC, are you having one, or another C-section?
I had a C-section with my first, and I am so torn with the 2nd on what to do.  The recovery would be so much nicer with a VBAC, but I worry about complications.  My doc. said it's a 1.6% chance that my scar would rupture.  I also worry that I would be in labor forever and still come out with a C-section.  I have no clue what to do here!

There were no complications with my son.  He was breech and never moved before the C-section.

I had a c-section with my son and was told by my same OB that I would have to have another one, but that's because of my scar on my cervix.  Was there complications the first time when you had the c-section?
