2 months of Kidney pain - stones and lymph nodes

I am receiving subpar treatment in the VA system so I am researching as much as possible on my own.  I am not really getting answers.  8 months ago I went to the ER for ongoing flu-like conditions.  I was told I was Flu-negative, I had a CT and they said I have Kidney stones that are up high and might never bother me. My kidneys didn't hurt. Early last April 10 my right back/flank started to hurt at various pain levels.  I thought I was passing the stones but went to the ER on APR 18.  Another CT was done.  They said the stones are in the same place and they can't figure out what the problem is.

2 weeks later, with the same consistent right side pain I went to my PC Dr.  She informed me that on BOTH  CT scans showed that I have diverticulosis and pancreatitis.  The ER never told me this.  She told me to eat and drink right and it should go away.  After another 3 weeks of pain I called her office & talked to the assistant who said that I also have enlarged lymph nodes on the right kidney.  And if I would like I could schedule an appointment for next month.

Could kidney pain be attributed to the other conditions that I have? I have ordered all of my med records so I can look through them - since I have found many major discrepancies in what they found and what I was told.

What other tests should I have them do?

I too am in  the VA system and know how you feel. Going back and forth between  N.O.LA. and Batoin Rouge, getting no answers, having to wait and as I have soon found most of the so-called doctors and nurses are Tulane practicing students. There are some real ones but
very few and old. I went to Tulanes Lakeside Hospital to have 2 biopsy's done 5/26/2010. I was there 5 hours waiting and then was told
they are canceling the surgery. I came back to the Baton Rouge VA
to have blood work done. The doctor handed me my bloodwork report
but neglected to tell me I have Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 2. Yes, I
think it's time to check with a doctor other than the VA.
