Can Omega-3 Fish Oil cause pain for someone who suffers from PKD?

Is there anyone out there that may have an answer to my question?  I have Polycystic Kidney and Liver Disease, including every organ throught my body.  But recently I spent nine days in the hospital for a severe asthma attack.  While there, a Resp. Therapist suggested I take Fish oil tablets.  He said that he has noticed a big difference with his own Asthma since taking them.  But, since I have been taking the Omega-3 Fish Oil tablets, I have been having pain in my upper right side of my back where my Kidney's are.  Can these tablets be causing my pain?  Please help!
