Decreasing Kidney Function

Thanks for providing this forum :)
My egfr has gone down over the past 11 months from 65 to 54 (I am a 58 year old woman)
I haven had blood in my urine constantly for at least the past 11 months - the level of that has gone from 27 erethrocytes to 109.
My doc sent me to a nephrologist who says I have nephritis of unknown origin, and wants me to wait several months to "see what happens".
My local doc also said my calcium levels are a bit out of order too - but he didn't seem too worried about that.
I am unhappy about waiting.
What do you think I ought to do?

The initial cause of kidney failure is important to determine prognosis.

Probable causes:
- Bacterial, but more likely, viral infections
- Medications
- Diabetes
- Hereditary factors
- Exposure to heavy metals, just to name a few.

You may consider pig cell therapy(alternative medicine) to deter or halt the evolution of this illness. And it is available in you country, Austrailia.

I forgot to include these facts
1. I have had an ultrasound, CT scan and cystoscopy. Result - one small parapelvic kidney cyst in each kidney - Dod insists they are nothing to worry about.
2. I have NEVER had any urinary tract infections.
3. I don't have a sugar problem.
4. I did have bad viral influenza last year.
5. I was exposed to agricultural chemicals when young - I don't know about heavy metal exposure.
6. I was badly bitten by a dog paralysis tick - and developed a weird trunk rash nightly for some days - but not the regular shaped round target looking rash that goes with Lyme disease.
7. I don't take medications other than HRT and recently a statin for cholesterol.
8. I have never heard of pig cell therapy??? What is it, and what does it do??
