Dehydration/ Kidney Stones

by debsk, Sep 05, 2009 03:55PM
I had the first onset of a moving kidney stone two weeks ago.  As far as I know it still hasn't passed.  It is small...3mm.  I have several more in both kidneys, which haven't moved.  I'm drinking at least 3 liters of water everyday.  Each morning when I get up my urine is dark orange, my bladder spasms for nearly half of the day until I get enough water in me to be hydrated again.  It seems that I am literally dehydrating at night.  (I am female, 47yrs old and have had kidney stones a few times since the age of 10)

Does anyone have any information on why I can't keep hydrated and if this is the reason my bladder is continually spasming?

Thanks!
