Diabetic Nephropathy & Drugs

What is the most recent, most recommended drug combination (RAS, ACE, etc. - if possible with specific brand or generic names) to retard renal damage and proteinurea in hypertensive diabetic patients?

How are you? Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and angiotensin-II receptor antagonists preferentially lower intraglomerular pressure and reduce proteinuria. The American Diabetes Association(ADA) recommends glycemic control in patients with diabetes and recommends yearly screening for microalbuminuria and blood pressure control. Take care and regards.
