Elevate Creatine lvl

by Jay12122008, May 28, 2009 10:21AM
I am 39 years old and recently I had a living donor kidney transplant on 12/12/08. My Bun has been standing steady under 19 and creatine under 1.6 since. Until this past few weeks my creatine has been elevated to 1.7 to 1.79. However, my Bun has been steady at 15. In the past few weeks I have started working out and playing sport again. I check with my Nephologists and he had indicated that your creatine can elevated if you have more muscle mass. Has anyone who has a kidney transplant encounter this issue. Thank you in advance

My mother had elevated liver enzymes as well as elevated BUN and creatinine levels. She periodically has blood in her urine that she did not tell anyone about untill now. The doctor ordered a ultrasound which showed one cyst on the left kidney and a spot (it did not call this a cyst) of the right kidney, the liver looke fine. The doctor now wants to do a CT scan. Could this be cancer? Her brother had kidney cancer a few years ago I do not know any details of his illness but he is doing fine now.
