Elevated Creatinine Levels

Elevated Creatinine Levels

Hello,

I went to the doc and had a few tests done and they said my kidney function was 59% or something due to elevated creatinine levels which was at 1800 (can't remember the unit of measurement they used).  Not sure if that was from the blood test or the urine test.

Note that I'm a weight lifter, currently weight 220 lbs, with about 14% body fat, and am about 6 ft, to give you an idea.
I also take creatine as a workout supplement.
At the time I was on Lisinopril with HCTZ for blood pressure.

They have since changed the blood pressure medication.  Taking into account these factors, is this abnormal creatinine levels?  Could these things cause skewed results and my kidneys are fine?

Thanks!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Elevated creatinine and urea levels and reduced GFR could indicate reduced functioning of the kidneys and could indicate kidney disorders.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
