Elevated Potassium Level

by Never_Give_Up, Nov 05, 2009 10:21AM
I have hypothyoid and insulin resistance or PCOS. I am currently on synthoid 88mcg and metformin 500mg (2 pills a day).
My recent blood test showed I have elevated potassium level 5.5 (normal is 3.8 - 5.2). But the kidney function test seems ok my creatine level is 0.58 (normal 0.58 - 1.2) . Should I be worried? Will there be any other cause of the elevated potassium level. I always seem to have pain around lower back and kidney area.
