I need an answer PLEASE !!!
what dose a focal area of cortical loss in superior pole of right kidney with dilated calyx in this region which may be related to cortical loss or calyccal diverticulum mean ???

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The cortical loss could be due to scarring, which could be due to an infection like Pyelonephritis (infection of the kidneys). It could sometimes be due to inflammatory conditions of the kidney like Glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the kidneys). This is correlated with kidney function tests. And a culture and sensitivity test of the urine can help detect an infection.
