KIDNEY functunality

I just discover last December 2011 that I have a Hepatitis B - Virus.

But now I felt more sad and exhausted since this started last Summer 2012 that I always wake up around early in the morning.  I feel pain around my lower back around my waist.  I ignore this pain since I thought that this is like "panuhot" in my waist, but one time just this August that it really became more painful.  My left and right near my stomach feel like it is weighted.

Is this really a kidney? I haven't consulted yet with another doctor since my doctor is just a gastroenterologist. I hope to hear words from you.

THANK YOU!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

This could be renal colic. Small stones can obstruct the passage of urine and when the body tries to 'push' against the blockade this results in colic, which is severe attacks of pain. The other causes for the pain could be infections of the bowel and bladder, prolapsed intervertebral disc or inflammatory diseases of the colon. Please consult your primary care physician who will do blood tests, x- rays and may ask for an ultrasonogram to find out the cause for the pain.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
