Kidney transplant due to renal cell carcinoma

My mom has had 3 cancer surgeries due to renal cell carcinoma. She has had a kidney removed, the lower half of her right lung and her lower back muscle removed.  She just discovered her only kidney now has cancer. My question is if any of her children can donate a kidney to her, would the chance of that kidney getting cancer be lower since it is donated?
