Lightheaded When Urinating?
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm going to try for it anyway.

This is weird, but I swear, I get lightheaded when I go to the bathroom. I've been having lower back pain and weird headaches for a few weeks now. My urinating has decreased even thought I have upped my fluid intake. When I urinate, my vision gets blury around the edges, and it feels almost like I'm floating. It sort of feels like my heart is hammering, even though my pulse is normal, and I don't know what it is.

I don't know if it's going to help any, but here's my history: I've got a liver disorder, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), gluten intollerence, electrolyte embalence, history of dizzieness/fainting, and I had a benign tumor removed from my arm. Lately, my hands have been shaking, and sometimes the shaking spreads up my arms and in to my torso. Sometimes, the dizziness is so bad I've been known to injure myself. I've fallen down the steps four or five times now. Once at school, I fell down a flight of stone steps while heading to lunch, and I injured my knees and right hip so bad I was in a brace and rehab for three months. I see a neurologist and a GI, but so far they've given me vague diagnosies because they can't pinpoint a single cause.

Please help me? I don't know what this is and I want to know if I should tell someone or just keep my mouth shut.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The light headedness may happen if there is inadequate supply of oxygen to the brain. This can happen with cardiac disorders or lung disorders.  In cardiac disorders there is inadequate pumping  of blood and in lung disorders there is inadequate oxygenation. It could also be due peripheral arterial blood disorders. Symptoms are usually aggravated with exercise in cardiac disorders. Diabetes mellitus and hypertension can cause these symptoms. Again inadequate sleep, hypoglycemia, anemia and vitamin deficiencies can aggravate you symptoms of light headedness.  Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I am Not a medical professional... What I say means nothing but here goes

About 2 years ago I had toPEE BAD I was delayed when I finally  went I felt wierd lightheaded sweaty, I have a slew of medical ailments so a little wierd pee feel was nothing. I stood up when finished and there happened to be a mirror in front of me, Looking  I thought wow that's wierd my lips were purplish blue and my face was pale and bluish purplish flushed and odd as well. I even said out loud "man I look deadish" I then promptly began to black out I remember starting to faint and reaching out for something to grab, unfortunately what I managed to do  was just knock over some stuff on my way down as I passed out. I hit my head on a STRONG old (built to sink 1930's) hand towel rack which as it had no sharp surface mushed into the back of my skull and then ripped as I fell.Blessedly you don't feelpain when you faint I guess because I didn't. I came to in a pool of blood.I took16staples to the head in the ER. 4 months later it happened again only this time I had made it out the door and passed out in the hallway right outside, this time I went down and landed (I'm guessing)  with my neck in direct contact with a heavy duty sewing machine case., I came to on the side of the case but my neck was a mess, strained tendons and ligaments with an assurance that I really got off easy. The only thing they could come up with is that there is some sort of nerve (usually it only happens when you poo but lucky me) that  after emptying my overfull bladder cause a rapid loss of blood pressure, ergo fainting. I DO NOT wait to pee anymore and have no more episodes until this stupid long week I have been super sick (nausea vomiting etc) for12 days today and I am dehydrated, I realized yesterday that I had not urinted all day (4 pm) I did not feel any urgency or a full bladder but I peed heartily and because of my history I stayed seated for 3-4 min after and sure enough, I did not faint but my vision blurred then darkened my ears rang and i was on the verge.

As I said I was told this  is not common,  but they say that and common or not I still cannot have the back of my head on hard surfaces due to the deep lacerations previosly and a big ol painfull lump (where the rack mushed its way in) still exists as a reminder that "not common" and I good ol friends.

Wow, I've never had something quite so severe happen, but I feel for you...

I've been trying to figure out what it is, but my doctors just think my salt is low or something,.
