Link between CRP and anti-trypsin deficiency?

My CRP levels are slightly higher than average and we have a1at in the family does anyone know if there is any link between these? I also have stage 1 ckd.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

CRP levels are measured along with alpha 1 antitrypsin levels. This is because in acute inflammations the alpha 1 antitrypsin levels may be normal in patients with a moderate deficiency. And raised CRP levels indicate an acute inflammation. So, to conclude with raised CRP levels, the measurement of alpha 1 antitrypsin may not be accurate.
