New Cystoscopy Procedure Record: 5 Times in 1 Month

Now that the month of May is over with, I can finally post this:

I was in the hospital 5 times in May and had 5 cystoscopy's to remove stones that were too big to spontaneously pass (not to mention the 12 stones that were in the 2mm-4mm range that I was able to pass at home without hospitalization).

My doctor tells me that I'm the single most prolific cystine Stone-Farmer he's ever encountered or even heard of, but after reading some of my fellow MedHelp'ers posts, I'm not certain that I'm in all that bad a shape.

I have Cystinuria, which is fairly unusual as kidney-stone cases go, and I only get them on my left-side (and have been doing so since the age of 19... and I'm now 38).

Please, if someone out there has this problem, and passes stones as often as I do, I'd love to hear from you about how you handle your issues, problems, stresses. As I stated above, I've been doing this for a lot of years, and I've learned to deal with it over the years, but I'd like to compare notes and see if maybe there's something else I could be doing MORE right.
