PCNL surgery questions
I am a 22 year old female. I was just recently diagnosed with a staghorn kidney stone in my upper quadrant of my right kidney. I am scheduled for a percutaneous surgery on November 6th. I am have many questions now that should have asked my doctor, but never got the chance. I want to know a little about how they do the procedure and what is involved. Will i have to have a catheder and a nephrosthamy tube? How long is the typical stay in the hospital? How long is the procedure itself? How often are these preformed? How common are they?
