Renal papillitis could came from parasitic infection?

Hi, my name is George and I have been diagnosed with Renal Papillitis in September 2012 with macroscopic hematuria. I have taken Celebrex and Urinal one month followed by  a month of break.
In my past medical history I had Toxoplasmosis and Toxocariasis infections from cats.
Parasitic infection could be the cause of my renal papillitis?

Hi Anitha,
Thank a lot for your response. I have not diabetics. Do you know a treatment for renal papillitis? My hematuria doesn't stop, yet.

Many thanks in advance,
George

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Renal Papillitis is more common in diabetics. Its unlikely that Toxoplasmosis can affect the kidneys. The disease can affect the brain, lung, heart, eyes and liver.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
