I am 30 and have been diagnosed as being in stage 3 kidney disease. I have been having irregular periods. Does anyone know if this could be caused from the kidney disease? I have never had this problem before

Hi there,
In advanced kidney disease there is anemia and electrolyte disturbances .Hormonal fluctuations can occur due to stress, chronic infection. Women often have disturbances in the menstrual cycle and fertility, usually leading to a stop in menstrual periods. Decreased sex drive may also occur in women. It is best to discuss your doubts with your doctor and get them clarified. I hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
