Hi,
Yes it is possible to have stones on both sides.
Your CT scan will probably confirm it .
Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms.
Meanwhile what you could do to help yourself is to drink plenty of water to aid in easy passage of stones.
You could take pain-killers if the pain gets to be unbearable.

Yes, you can have stones on both sides.  I have had them in both kidneys.  With me, one side hurt more than the other.  I had 2.5 yrs worth of pain and finally about 8 weeks ago I passed a 4.0mm stone that was deep in the medullary and I have been pain free for first time in a very long time!!!!!

I make calcium oxalate stones .. my 4.0mm was caught and sent to the lab.
