I was diagnosed with TGBM after having a kidney biopsy done.
I am concerned with alports syndrome as I have read that you can give it to your sons which can be fatal.
I had no other tests done after the biopsy and the Dr said most likely not pass onto sons.
Is this true.?
the thinness of my menbranes was 180nm. Should that be a concern?
My kidney biopsy report came back with pages of history of TGBM and Alports was majority of information.
I am a femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction with Alport's. I've known that I had it since I was 2 years old. Do you know for sure that's what you have? Your mother or father would have to have it if you do. If you do have it (or are a carrier), then you have a 50/50% chance of passing it to your children(male or femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction). If you were to pass it to a girl she would be a carrier, but it may never effect her. If you were to pass it to a boy, it would for sure effect him. My father and a few of his uncles have had it. My father is over 40 and still has his kidney's and is not on dialysisDialysis Kidney diet - dialysis patients. His uncles have all passed away now, but didn't have to recieve dialysisDialysis Kidney diet - dialysis patients until they were over 50, and all lived pass 60.
I'm not sure what TGBM is.
