Urinary tract issues related to kidneys.

Hello, I am nineteen and I have been with my fiance for three years. He took my virginity. Since being with him I have had chronic urinary tract infections. So much so that I do not even bother going to the doctor's any more, not to mention I don't have insurance. My urine smells awful! YUCK! And it is cloudy and dark. If I drink water then urinate then it is clean. Intercourse is sometimes uncomfortable or even painful. My kidneys hurt some times, sometimes they don't. Just yesterday I started feeling pain in my lower back on the right side when I bend or move certain ways. Could this be my kidney? Am I setting my self up for kidney failure eventually in my life? Could the fact that my fiance is not cercumsized be causing me to keep getting UTI's? Could constant UTI medications have caused certain problems as well? I need answers to these questions. Is there ANY WAY I can solve these UTI/kidney problems myself?

First of all I understand how hard the medical cost can be but this is not something you should attempt to resolve yourself.  UTII's can get serious and over time cause kidney damage or even put you in the hospital with Sepsis, which means the infection has gone into your blood stream.

However once you get the infection under control there are ways to help prevent infections.  Honestly I think it would be good if both you and your boyfriend went to a doctor to be checked.  If he has a low level infection he can reinfect you and yes it is possible if he does not take extra care in cleaning  to have more bacteria in one who is uncircumcised.  It is possible you are just trading bacteria back and forth.  The doctor may put both of you on a long term low dose antibiotic to see if they helps control symptoms as well.

You might check out free clinics in your area do a online search.  You can also call and find out if the doctor will give a discount to cash patients or have a sliding scale.

Once you are both checked and have gotten through this infection, you can pm for some natural ways to keep the bacteria from coming back as well.  I do not want to post these here, for fear you may try to clear up the current infection before going for treatment.  I know how risky that can be when your dealing with kidneys as well,
as the sorrow of living with a chronic kidney infection because things were let go.

Hang in there and hope you get some help soon!
