Urine History of a 22 month old girl

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to shed any light on my daughters urine history. For more than a year now we have had symptoms of a uti; pain, fever, respiritory infection and hematuria. Every time we had an episode a sample would be sent off for culture but nothing has ever been grown. She has never had a UTI. These episodes are happening very frequently (around once every 4 weeks) and they are making her a very unwell and unhappy little girl. She is never well and always on antibiotics. We have had a scan on the kidneys and urinary tract and all was clear but the doctors seem quite happy just to let this continue.

I cannot sit back and watch and hope she grows out of it. It really affects her in a negative way. I am sure nothing horrid is going on else they would not be letting this continue but I know it is not normal to keep getting blood in the urine (dipsick, not visual) and being so unwell at the same time. I have done a lot of research but it is so confusing and no Dr has yet to tell us what they think it could be. For the first time today my GP did mention nephritis which is something I had been wondering myself but I would love to hear rom anyone that could shed any further light on this. We have an appt with the specialist on the 12th May so I am hoping to get more answers then. Right now hough, I am driving myself crazy witht he possibilities....

Hi...I am so sorry ur little one is so unwell. have they considered a yeast infection....with all the antibiotics I wonder if that may be affecting her on top of what else may be going on.
Have u checked her gall bladder?.....And was a PH level ever taken?....she may no longer have the bacteria needed and mayb a probiotic may be helpful.
