What could my kidney symptoms be?

Following months of going to-and-from the GP's, I have just been referred to a Urologist for the following syptoms (symptoms)...
microscopic haematuria (constantly for at least the last 4 months)
right kidney pain which is a constant dull ache with painful twinges if I breathe in deeply or twist
blood results came back OK but with v.high CRP levels.

I had urinary/kidney problems as a child which I am not sure of exactly but involved ultrasound scans and medication. I have an appointment for an ultrasound in 3 weeks but am very worried that its something serious as my mother died early from non-hodgkin's lymphoma. I would appreciate anyones advice or opinion on what this might be. Thanks, Di.
