bacterial tests for kidney

Hello,
My sister is said to have an IgA nephropathy.
I want to make sure that her kidneys are not viraly and bacterially infected.
This all happened after she went to Cyprus for a donor egg plantation to have a baby.
It may be true that this disease was existing before like the doctor says but I want to make sure.
Please advise what should I be looking at inside the blood and urine to make sure that this actually was not a viral or bacterial infection.

I forgat to say that my sister spent a week in the emergency room two weeks after she came from Cyprus. Her heart, livers and everything failed, a total system breakdown. Now others have recovered except the kidneys. Kidney sizes and urine levels are good.
I am looking for to know what tests should I get done.
