It comprises of three components 1.Dextromethorphan (antitussive) 2.Pseudoephidrine (nasal decongestant) 3.Chlorpheneramine (antihistamine).
All of these drugs seems to have very little or no direct association with kidneys or liver unless systemic problems like Hypertension,Damaged liver,Urine pH,heart problems or GI problems are present in history.These drugs are actually absorbed by GI tract,metabolised by liver and excreted into urine (except Chlorphenaramine which under goes first pass metabolism).
This composition have higher risks of being addictive drug/hypersensitive, reactions occur due to over dosage and poisoning., since its affects are mostly directed on CNS,respiratory system.
