Kidney or renal cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form in the kidneys. They are almost always harmless and is common in elderly people. They sometimes do not cause any signs or symptoms and are often found incidentally on MRI, CT or ultrasound. They do not require any treatment, except for those cysts that becomes so large and may affect other organs. These are usually surgically removed. I hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
