does chronic renal disease effect prostrate and liver

by reddy26, May 18, 2009 12:01PM
DR, my father aged 55 is suffering from  chronic renal disease from  the past 11 years ,it was detected in an early stage and never needed a dialysis till date, recent ultrasound showed an borderline enlargement of prostrate (BPH)
AND AN MIXED ECHOIC  predominantly an hypoechoic lesion of size 48mm x 32mm in the right lobe of liver ,
does this indicate any adverse effect to his liver and prostrate, his urologist has suggested to go for a  CT SCAN OF LIVER AREA, and two other tests to determine alpha fetoprotien  and PSA
