flank pain and no infection?

by 2keane, Nov 08, 2009 12:24AM
I had a kidney infection 11 weeks ago and was admitted into the hospital for 4 days. It also went into my blood. I have a long history of bladder infections but this was the first kidney infection. I also have interstitial cysitis that makes pain a daily occurence. I have also had a distended stomach since being discharged and have been seeing a gastro doctor with no relief including a colonoscopy. So far everything is normal. The back and side pain have been the worst. Still having alot of pain esp while sitting or driving. It is like my something is off kilter and is causing an overcorrection when I am sitting.  Sleeping or laying flat seems to help. 10 days after my release I had someone hand a heavy object too me from above and I wonder if some how I have damaged my kidney. The nurse did say not to lift more than a milk jug. It really hurt afterward but that has been 2 months ago. The urologist checked my urine again a few days ago and it looks good.
No fever just pain and distention. Could I have damaged my kidney from the item? I am starting to feel as bad as the first few days in the hospital. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
