One more thing, the high protien diet thing. It really depends on what kind of stone it was. Did they catch it and analyze it. I wouldn't make any drastic dietary changes until you know what you're dealing with. I've read (and I could be wrong) that going on a high protien diet can dramatically increase the amount of oxalate your body takes in, and calcium-oxalate stones are the most common type. In other words, it could make your stone production sky-rocket. Try to make an appointment with a urologist. You regular doctor is not trained specifically in the urinary tract (kidneys, ureter tubes, prostate and bladder). I've been told by every doctor I've seen that once your body gets a taste for stone production, it won't ever stop so you need to see a specialist NOW.

I'd be concerned about solid waste coming down through your urine. Could just be skin cells sloughing off your urinary tract but that should be more like paper coming out. Your kidneys are not supposed to produce any kind of solid waste though. As far as the color, I had the same problem. Increase your water intake. You should be drinking at LEAST a gallon a day. It doesn't have to be clear water, gatorade or juice is good too, but the majority should be plain water. Dark yellow urine usually means you're at least a little dehydrated.
