kidney stone & high calc.

My son who is 17 years old has had many kidney stones, he first started his symptoms of pain, blood in the urine and frequency of urinating since he was only 4 years old, this has been going on for years with no diagnosis. He recently went for tests at the urinologist and was told that he had high calcium in his blood and was sent to the E.N.T. doctor for possible hyperparathyroidism but the tests came back normal including the P.T.H. test.I live in a small town and don;t get the best doctor's no one can find what he has can you please help me.

I have high calcium. No doctor has ever sent me to an ENT doc before. Find an Endocronolgist. They deal with calcium, thyroid etc. By all means, stick with a urologist and primary doctor. They should all be in touch with each other.

Was there a blood test done for Vitamin D?
Which tests were done and what were the results?

Every lab has their own reference ranges. My Endo doc was watching my high normal counts. Most doctors say the count is normal even if it's the highest norm. Personally, I don't go for that. Then I request a repeat in about 3-4 weeks to see if my high normal actually went high. It's possible that the PTH is high normal as mine was for a very long time until one day it actually went over the limit. My Endo doc seemed to have known that would do it.
