kidney stone

i got this pain just below my right lower rib cage 5 days ago. the pain wasn't that much and it only hurts when i lie down on on my right side or if i move vigorously. aside from those, im not feeling anything. is it a kidney stone? or is it something else?

Hi,

Are there other symptoms present? Aside from a kidney problem (stone or infection), this could also be due to musculoskeletal causes. Any strain on the muscles may lead to pain. If it persists, it is best that you have this evaluated further  for proper management. Urinalysis may help with the diagnosis.

Hi,

Most kidney stones pass out of the body without any intervention by a physician. However, stones that cause lasting symptoms or other complications may be treated by medications or lifestyle changes. In your case, there is no definite diagnosis yet.  I suggest that  you have this evaluated first. A urinalysis will help determine if there is an infection present or rule out other causes. There are many government hospitals that can help wherein the costs are usually subsidized by the government. Take care and do keep us posted.
