I had an open pyeloplasty about 18 months ago to fix a kinked ureter, I was in the hospital the first time for 5 days on iv antibiotics because of a kidney infection, had a stent put in for 2 weeks. Went back once stent was removed and ureter was still kinked so the doctor decided to do the open pyeloplasty, in the hospital for 5 days then went home with stent in. On follow up scans it shows there is still hydronephrosis in that kidney but it is draining urine now slowly where before it wasnt draining at all. I am now 33 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if anyone would know if it effects the method of delivery? Would a vaginally delivery be too much pressure or is it fine now? I have noticed that lately I have not been using the bathroom as much and I was thinking the baby may be putting pressure on the kidney/ureter? Any input would be appreciated!
