parapelvic cysts

I am 50 yrs of age,My ultrasound report shows a RENAL PARAPELVIC CYST in upper pole region of size                   1.4 X 1.2cm.One year ago my left kidney was damaged because of stone and doctors suggest to remove that,so now i have only one kidney(big reason to worry).Although size of the right kidney is normal.Doctors are saying for the regular checkup .please suggest what should i do(surgical management or simply take cyst tablets when it pains) and also about the diet which i should take to prevent more formation of these cysts.
